Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Karina Michaud now lives in BC since 2020. She discovered her new passion, pickleball, 6 years ago in her hometown. Karina has been playing since and never stopped. She is now a full time pickleball coach and player with a business centered on the sport. Karina is travelling a lot for competitions and clinics.
Karina did not have any racquet sport background. She worked her way through her 5.0 skill level with a lot of patience and training. She was an elite athlete in soccer and also have a background in volleyball. She was the first Canadian to get the certification PPR with Sarah Ansbury. She wanted to get the best teaching skill possible to be able to grow and develop the sport that she loves so much. It all started as a hobby and then became her passion.
Karina has been coaching for almost two years and she is now the head coach for the Elite team of pickleball Quebec. She coaches everywhere in Canada, mostly in Vancouver area and in Quebec. She offers group clinics and individual sessions to players of various level. Karina is a very patient, fun and easy to follow. She is able to accurately asses where you are personally with your game and cater her lesson to improve your game.
Karina has many exciting projects coming up with the Canadian Pickleball Academy in 2021. Karina Michaud and her mixed partner Charles Neufeldt will be traveling across the World offering clinics to others who share their love for this amazing sport. They also have different Pickleball Getaways planned for the next year.
